Working on side stepping and initiating gait and increasing step height. Patient side steps over steps of varying heights and alternating stepping on and over. Patient then has to reach to put a cone on a stick at the end to challenge balance. Good for patients with Parkinson’s and Cvas and very functional for returning to cooking at home

Game changer! “Grow a Creature” activity was used to improve patient participation and motivation, as well as standing tolerance and balance for tasks such as toileting. This particular patient never really looked forward to therapy, but after we started growing “Lizzie,” she looked forward to coming down to therapy each day to see how big she had gotten!
