Thankfulness

Cherokee

We created this opportunity for our patients and staff to express their thankfulness and gratefulness during this season of giving.  Our patients participated in this unity-building activity by using expressive language skills, direction following skills, dynamic balance during functional reaching tasks, fine motor/dexterity skills as they traced and cut out the feathers, and problem solving (especially as the turkey becomes more and more crowded with feathers).  Our door is such a hit that our Administrator has suggested that the Activities Director should make another one for the long-term care side of the building!
