Last week we celebrated Cinco de Mayo! We started by discussing the topic and how it related to US history. Speech had trivia time that related to the holiday as well as similar holidays and history at the time of the event. We had a reminiscent activity that allowed residents to discuss how the celebrated holidays as kids and how it differed from how they are celebrated now.
We had coloring pages that were done while sitting and standing for improved FM coordination and functional endurance. We capped off our celebration by using a piñata for standing tolerance, hand eye coordination, functional endurance, reaching and bending.
