Thankful Tree

Southridge Village

During the fall season we had our patients assist us with making a “thankful tree” to decorate our therapy door.

The leaves were copied and then cut out during OT to address fine motor coordination and hand strength.

ST addressed cognition and memory recall by assisting the patients with writing what they are thankful for on a leaf.

During PT the patients assisted with hanging them on the door while addressing standing tolerance and balance.

Staff and family members also joined in by adding their “thankful leaf” to the tree.
